With all the musicians and artists on this forum, we could have some serious kick ass band. Who would do what??? I'm thinking Compella on vocals and Sifu Roderick on lead guitar. A ton of us on rhythm guitar. Who else is down???

in. I play guitar, bass, drums and percussion. also play multiple wind instruments and sing. we should send tracks to each other to add to.

in. and if everyone has garageband on the mac it would be easy to do, even with the distance.

Garageband rocks. Brandon, they wouldn't even need GB. As long as they can record an audio file we could import it to GB.
I used to fiddle with GB and pull a Prince by playing everything. I wonder if this could actually work??? Lol

one of us needs to write a one instrument song, like:

me: (guitar) intro, verse, chorus, verse, bridge, chorus, outro.
nelson: (bass) he loads my track and records bass parts to my guitar
someone: (drums) loads nelsons track and records drums
so on and so forth, until the second to last person (or one of us again) mixes it
compella: (vox) loads the mixed track and does vocals

then one of us masters it....

the drummer for my band and I do this just not as long distance. the problem will be getting us all on the same page musically,.

Anyone with Pro Tools or Garage band could probably master it, or with a good digital audio workstation as well. As long as the file to be imported was in the correct format of the medium it was to be mastered in. It sounds like a fun idea.

I can mix and master it. I can import mp3s or wavs into the program I use and mix and master there. we just need a starting track for everyone to play to, t so the tempo/ key matches up.

you guys should get just a basic midi drum beat, set it to a tempo, and the guitarist writes from that. Line 6 riffworks is really good tool for writing songs if you have a line 6 pod
