Bio: Gerald Strebendt is the head instructor of 10th Planet Eugene. Gerald started jiu jitsu in ’99 under Chris Brennan after being stationed with the Marines in Southern California. He started training with Eddie Bravo right before his debut pro fight in MMA, winning the fight via armbar, with a setup Eddie had shown him leading up to the fight. After that Gerald started making the trip from the O.C. to L.A. to train, and eventually permanately moving to train full time with Eddie. Gerald is a UFC veteran and is the former 155 lbs Cage Rage champion. 8 of his 9 wins have come way of submission and he was the first person to pull off the Twister in an MMA match. Gerald has moved to Springfield Oregon and continues his teaching of the 10th Planet system at his gym, Northwest Training Center. Gerald received his black belt under Eddie Bravo in March of 2010.
