HEAD INSTRUCTOR: Tyler Connal
After watching “The Twister”, Tyler was instantly captivated by this
sport. A couple of one-on-one private lessons by Master Eddie Bravo,
was all it took for him to leave his collegiate Rugby and Hockey teams
and turn to Jiu-Jitsu. In 2009 he started a club at his college,
training students in an empty room at his college house, and by 2011
it blew up to over 35 students, becoming the first Jiu-Jitsu club at
Saint Joseph’s University. After moving home post-graduation Tyler
took over the 10th Planet Jiu-jitsu Hartford satellite and has ran it
along with Coach Mike Seabrook. While working for the UFC, Tyler has
been able to travel and train with the likes of UFC Fighters Robbie
Peralta, Chris Cope, Joe Duarte, and Former Strikeforce Lightweight
Champ KJ Noons. In October of 2011 he was promoted to purple belt by Master Eddie Bravo.
