Spent the day at 10th Planet Rochester

Took a day off in preparation for the NY State Grappling Championship. Made the drive from Toronto to Rochester and spent the entire day training with the team at 10th Planet Rochester. Gotta say that it's the most productive 8 hrs I've spent since the collective 4 minutes it took to father my 4 kids.

Coach Herzog is a grappling genius!! It was like taking a trip to a skilled car mechanic. I told him what was wrong with my game and he gave me the tools to fix it.

I was always taught that a good instructor won't find you - you have to find him.

I was just saying that to one of my training partners. The skill set that the students have as a base is scary. I'm rolling and holding my own with blues and purples locally. When I go to Rochester I'm struggling for positions with white belts!! BTW Mike you should try and keep a video log of your trip to all the different 10th Planet Moons u visit as part of your planned training tour. Or at the very least maybe film a 10 min private lesson with Mestre Laranja at HQ.

Thanks for the constant support, its amazing I have guys that complain that they have a 20 minute drive, when I've got others students that drive 45mins-2.5 hours to make it to class, you guys are the best! Absolutely amazing! I was able to tap one of Herzog's white belts once. It turned out he was just signing up for his first class and he was 10 but hey. I'll count it lmfao.

Man, I wish I was 45min away. But some time this summer I plan on driving the 5 hours and spending the week with 10th planet's leg lock guru :) hope to see ya this summer

I can honestly say when coach Herzog taught a leg-lock seminar recently at our place it was the most detailed, best instruction I have ever received in my jiu jitsu life!

No joke...dude is true master!
