you guys forget that a lot of people on here fight MMA. Belts matter when it comes to that. You have to have an impressive resume if you want to fight in the big leagues. You might be a hell of a fighter, but if you have no credentials they are just going to think you're an amateur, and you're no different than any other half ass fighter. Also, belts are important to me cause they symbolize your hard work and dedication and there is a lot of respect that comes with that. When you get a black belt you feel like you're legit now, you feel like you just joined the black belt club...like you're on the same level as some of the legends and top fighters in the world. It's true a belt doesn't show how good you are, but still man...you have to respect the belt. A lot of time and hardwork goes into getting those things, and if that isn't something to be proud of then wtf is?
