What up peeps,
I was rolling with a guy at my gym and he cranked on an Americana but he didnt hear me saying tap. I don't really mind because I know these things happen but I did hear a pop near my elbow and immediate pain. Pain went away mostly right after but now my inner elbow area is sore and hurts when i extend my arm straight out.
What kind of injury is this?
What is the best recovery method?
Should I sit out from rolling entirely?

Probably a strained muscle. Overextended past the anatomical range of motion it seems, pop was the cavitation of the joint. Not a fracture fortunately.Quote:

I've had that happen to me a bunch of time without any serious coming from it...
The worst thing that happened was that arm was weaker than normal for a month or so... just rest it and you'll be good as new ;)
Happened to me when I first started training. I tied my arm to my side using my belt lol
I don't train with people who yank at my joints.
Thai massage is a real thing. Give it a chance.
Edit: In addition glucosamine in daily basis is very effective too.

This is coming from someone that stayed at a couple of toxic gyms and only left when they shut down or the coach quit... and didn't realize how bad they were until I was elsewhere. What your describing isn't ok and we should stand up against this garbage when we see it.
Not saying I have enough info to say your case is a gym problem or the like, only that I like allot of people would want to be the guy to just pop back up and continue training and let it go but thats an issue that instead should be addressed before that guy breaks some small guys humorous bone or something. That attitude can be contagious too by the way..

Be careful and rest it. Don't throw a ball for a long, long time.
The problem is own the gym this happened in haha. I try hard not to invite that overly aggressive attitude in, but it happens. The guy that did it is still a training partner of mine. He's been training long enough now, though, to understand his strength a little better. You've actually met majority of us Barncat. A group came out to the last seminar you had with Eddie and a couple of the guys won a free week of training with you. I need to make it back that way myself.Quote:
