It may hinder the truck but it opens up the possibility of the kimura and entering the kimura trap family of attacks. Also, I've had success with the North-south choke in that situation. If he bridges into you getting to his knees, smack on that guillotine.
I prefer this control position by a long shot.
It actually doesn’t matter, the key to t-side is how heavy you can be while still letting him try to escape. It’s a delicate balance of smash and release. You don’t wanna smash him down flat on his back, you want him on his side otherwise hooking his left leg with your left leg is almost impossible
