Get Tinguinhas open guard video
no dvd , but i recommend learning some open guard stuff from coach Kevin Green
Who is Kevin Green and where is he based out of?
he is my coach and he is in Newark Delaware , i know from experience his open guard stuff is tough , there was a saturday class many months ago where he played open guard and NO ONE in the whole class could pass his open guard . it actually frustrated everyone but taught us a lesson
however if you haven't found what you're looking for search thru the dvds for sale on budovideos.com they got a ton of good stuff there
Mike Jen (Joe Moreira Black Belt) has a well done DVD.
Ultimate Guard 2: Intermediate Open Guard (Disk 2)
http://www.teammaa.com/Merchandise/UG2.html
It covers
- difference between being on your side, up on your elbow or up on your hand
- using your hands to block & deflect
- using your feet on the hips and shoulders
- replacing the posts if they knock them off
- what to do if they lift your legs (double under pass, smash pass)
- what to do if they pin or trap your legs (knee through pass etc.)
- lots more
Generally how to maintain open guard and prevent the common passes. Its no-gi and it fits in very well with all your 10th Planet Guards, allowing you to scramble a bit more in between half, butterfly, closed etc.
