Trying to lose weight. (belly fat)

I started jiu jitsu and i lost 15 pounds, but i want to lose more.

I train atleast 3 days a week and i train for an hour a day.

What do you guys do other than jiu jitsu? Do you lift weights or just cardio?

Should i train 3 days a week and lift weights 2 days a week?

I mainly want to build muscle and lose belly fat.

Any advice would be great. Thank you.

Clean up your diet. Paleo works best.

Simply running 30 minutes a day can do wonders.

I've lost 20 pounds so far.

I made a lot of diet changes also though, so it's not JUST running.

Agree with the Paleo 100%. Few simple but powerful tips - stop eating anything with sugar in it, don't touch alcohol, limit fruit intake as fructose can be converted to fat easily, eat high amounts of protein and exercise everyday. Worked wonders for me. All the best.

Damn. I guess I'll never be ripped. But, at least I'll be somewhat healthy.

Paleo seems like a healthier version of the Atkins Diet, which I've been doing. I've lost 27 pounds so far, so stick to Paleo and you should be even better off. No sugar, carbs ONLY from veggies and no alcohol. I also got some keto strips to make sure that my body wasn't getting hidden carbs. Been burning fat for nearly 2 months now. And, eating like that has curbed my hunger as I no longer get the blood sugar rush from sugar and processed foods. My energy level stays pretty consistent throughout the day. Good luck. I'm 42, so if a diet change can shred the weight for me - it will work for you.

Nutrition is the most important component at this stage of the game. And of course regular exercise to complement your jiu jitsu training
