I'm new to twitter and stuff, so this is probably the right place to ask: What does it mean when you see a hash mark in front of something?
For example #WhateverItIsAsAName

That means its a trending topic. For example #10thPlanetJJ means. I'm trending 10thPlanetJJ, and then if more people type #10thPlanetJJ it becomes more "Popular". You can trend anything. #Caralho #SmokeSerpent #McChickenSandwich. The sky's the limit.

Thanks John. So what would that do? Using our #10thPlanetJJ for example, what does it do, bump it up in google search results or something?
