    Flying Kung-Fu: Any solo drills to improve it?

    Hey guys, after the last seminar I was at, I am inspired to start landing the Flying Kung-Fu on the regular. I have flexibility, but not double lotus flexibility. No prob with working rubberguard, etc, but I really just worry about kicking my partner in the head when I start trying to skip the steps and go from Cocoon right into flying kung-fu.

    Are there any specific exercises I can do to improve my Flying Kung-Fu flexibility without risking hurting my drilling partners? Or am I best to just keep working the standard flexibility? I find my left knee hurts when I try single lotus with that leg. My hip just doesn't want to roll over for me, even after I limber up with a good workout and do a bunch of stretches.

    I started with terrible flexibility 2.5 years ago and can full lotus with no hands now. I just put in a lot of time working single lotus and trying to get the knee to the mat and also a lot of butterfly stretching. I also find myself always working the kung fu; sitting on the couch, laying on the floor, sitting on the mats at practice, etc. I also find that the piriformis stretch helps too.

    I've been doing the same thing man I just grab grace start in cocoon and we do 100 each on both sides. My theory is if you wanna flying Kung fu you just gotta not give a fuck about kicking people in the face every once n a while. I'll also try throwing my hips away real far so I can get a great angle to go for it after I make them base with the Jean Jacques sweep. Just put mad reps in can't go wrong with that my brov

    How often is everybody having a problem with kicking their partner in the head? I have been using the flying kung fu for at least a year now and can't think of any times that I kicked my partner hard enough to worry about it.

    I don't flying kungfu, but I get kneed, elbowed, booted in the head all the damn time, Ya'll just ackin soft. Just give'r.
