Hey there everybody! I just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Travis McClellan and I train at 10th Planet Clare in Michigan. I've been with Spyder Submissions (mma team) and the Clare Hotbox since September of 2013. I'm still a white belt with much higher aspirations. I often get asked why I don't play basketball, because I'm 6'8". Even Eddie Bravo himself asked me what the hell I was doing learning Jiu-Jitsu at the Ann Arbor Seminar last weekend instead of being on a basketball court somewhere! I'm a man that likes a challenge; I'd rather be learning something seemingly impossible than running around throwing a ball in a hoop. I fight again in December and I'm not sure when I'll be grappling again. Hope to hear from and meet all of you! Super Sized Samurai OUT!

I am nowhere near Travis's reach I'm sure, however I do have a longer arm reach than the majority of people my size, and I feel like I am always getting "too deep" on a D'arce. I really really have to focus on having the thumb on the back of their neck or I don't get it even from places where it should be finished.
