    Recommendations for knee pads

I injured my knee back in the summer, and am looking to get back to training in the next week or two. Can anyone recommend good knee pads that will protect the area right under the patella? Thanks.

Cliff Keen makes some good stuff. I have the Cliff Keen Air Brace and the Raptor 2.0. The Air Brace is probably the best protection/pad in a knee brace.

I sprained my MCL a few yrs back, and since then I wear a Shock Doctor Knee Sleeve on both knees (to provide compression, warmth, and support) and then on the outside of both I wear a padded knee pad (like a wrestling) to allow for minimal impact when practicing shots, as well as padding for when my knee may accidentally hit a training partner as well as for when an errand limb might hit or land on my knee.

Clinch gear and Cliff Kean make decent one if you are looking for a straight knee pad. Knee sleeve are just neoprene so any of them are fine.

Brute makes the best IMO. Check out the Torq, but make sure if you buy from Amazon to order two, because sometimes they're sold as individuals. I'd go to http://www.wrestlinggear.com where they're sold in a pair
