Flat earth - some easy ways to debunk

It's great to be skeptical about things and I commend people for that but you have to look at all the evidence and if it contradictory then simply admit you don't know.

About 6 months ago I went through the flat earth arguments and found none of them held up to close scrutiny and many were easily disproved simply by personal observation.

    Here are two:

    1. Sunset/sunrise
Go to the sea, big lake or desert and watch the sun rise or set. Ideally take a camera with a good zoom lens and take a bunch of pictures. You will see the sun disappear behind the horizon when it sets. It does not get smaller as the flat earthers assert.

You would have thought that if the sun did get smaller at sunset there would be millions of videos and pictures but I haven't seen any that are convincing.

    2. Star/constellations of the northern vs southern hemispheres
The night skies are different the two hemispheres and they rotate in different directions.

You cannot see the North Star (Polaris) or the Big Dipper from the Australia, South America, South Africa etc.

You cannot see the Southern Cross (Crux) from North America, Europe etc.

The stars in the southern hemisphere rotate clockwise and counter-clockwise in the northern hemisphere.

There are two satellites in space that take pictures of the earth daily.
