Scraped out a flawless Gold at my first Judo comp :D

me and 3 guys from my college went to a competition for london colleges. i just about made weight and there were only 3 other guys in my weight class so we all went against each other, i won all 3 of my matches :D

this was my first match, i was so fucking nervous and i was going against one of my college teammates, but i'd never sparred with him so i didnt know what he would be like, he came out super aggressive and just stomped me but then i managed to keep him down long enough in the end, Gable grips ftw lol

this was the second one, it only lasted about 15 seconds and the video starts literally just as i attack, the guy was so much taller than me, but im used to sparring with my friend whos his height, but about 50lbs heavier which is lucky.

Final match for the gold, i was helping some guy who was throwing up out the backdoor and then they all called my name so i was really not ready. me and the guy went at it hard, the video doesnt really do it justice as the guy didnt know how to turn the quality up on my camera :/ he was like a fucking bull on the ground, took serious determination to keep my grip strong and weight on him, almost go an armbar and a gi choke too

i found out after that he was just about to tap to them when the ref stopped :( wish i could of had a sub to end it.

all in all, im really happy i won, even if they weren't the cleanest wins.
now to prepare for my first No gi grappling contest in June :D
