10th Planet Santa Fe had a Good showing on the 28th

At Southwest Grapplefest was a good time all around. We met up with Kyle from the forum who stayed with with us all day helped coach some and even came to dinner. 10th Planet El Paso was also in the house.

We had Luis Castillo bringing home 3 golds and a silver in both teens advanced and mens intermediate gi and no gi. We also had Dario Jimenez take home his first gold in mens beg. no gi winning all five of his matches with four by submission. Miguel Ordonez taking 2nd place in mens blue belt and not being able to compete in no gi due to a rib injury, we suspect he would have placed well there too. We also had Carlo Miramontes taking home gold in teens beg. his first time competing outside of wrestling.

We also had Nate Harris, Jorge Padron, John Salazar, Edward McGovern III, and myself competing. I took 5th out of 18 in mens intermediate no gi.

Was a good day! Ruben did not compete he just helped Tait and Henry coach.

Was a hell of a day. Glad to be off the plane from NC and able to train with the guys at 10P Sante Fe. Hell of a group they've got there. Hated that I wasn't able to make it from the airport to the tournament quick enough, but the day was memorable regardless. Looking forward to training with this group of savages for a long time.

Ruben got most of our matches on video. I'll get on him about putting them up. Luis (aka: Weezy) finished a guy in his second match with a gogoplata. It was pretty sick. Him and I will be competing at NAGA in Phoenix this weekend as well.

I didn't compete man. Not because I didn't want to. I got a few injuries I'm having to deal with that have really slowed me down but I started rolling with the monsters we got down here again and hope to be good to go for Gracie Worlds. I'll be back!

That was one hell of a day...i met a couple of the guys from down there and it was a cool experience..i competed in the men's intermediate but lost my first match and got a concussion and couldn't go for my second match...planning on going down later this month to train with u guys before the next grapplefest
