Injury Comebacks
Hi all,
I've starting training 10p bjj since January, and I recently had my tibia broken in my very 1st tournament,

Anyway, I guess what I wanna asking is if anyone has had similar injury and has comeback from it,
its sort of messing with my head a bit as I am off my feet for 4 weeks,
any advice would be greatly appreciated

There is a guy down here in soflo that had both bones in his leg broken at a tourney, had to have surgery & all that good stuff. He is back 100%. IMO it is much easier to come back from broken bones than it is to come back from injury to joints.

A friend of mine had his shoulder dislocated at a tourney. He had to have surgery to put it all back together and was out for a year. He's been back in it a month and isn't stopping anytime soon. I was drilling getting to the meat hook with him and New Jersey last night. He's already started his undergrad in the system! Another guy hooked!
You'll heal up and you'll be back. They all come back.

Just be patient do what the doc says and you'll come back stronger. I broke my arm badly in a match 7 weeks ago, surgery a plate and 9 screws were the result. Finally got the cast off this past Tuesday and am back on the mats just doing light drilling with guys i trust 100%. No aggresive newbies for a while haha. I still got a month of rehab to get my full range of motion back, it's very limited right now, and then I should be good to go. For me patience has been tough but I know I'll be stronger from it and so will you! Use your down time wisely. Stretch what you can, cardio (gotta be something you can do with a bum leg), study and still go to the gym to watch and learn.
