Opinion?
Please give me your opinion on this. There are 2 issues.
1. The seconds throw in the towel and the referee refuses to acknowledge it.
2. During the fight the ref says "Are you ok CHAMP? I dont want to see you lose like this."
Is that OK???? He called the guy "Champ". Not you or not fighter. What do you think?

Refs should be totally unbiased and nuetral. He must have had money riding on that guy...

Very possible. It is a shame though. In the perfect world all refs would be unbias.

I couldn't believe that the ref is allowed to ignore someone throwing in the towel either!!! That was crazy!

the towel may not be a functional part of a given organizations rules and the ref might not have any reason to acknowledged it. If its a rule its a rule ref needs to do the job and fallow the rules and enforce them. Looks like the ref is a fan and was seeing things a bit off here.

I'm not aware of an organization that doesn't follow the "throw in the towel" rule. Are there some out there that either don't follow it or let the ref decide?
