I have taken a few different thermogenics in cutting weight and so far the best I have had experience with is Muscle Farm Shred Matrix. I can train pretty hard and not deal with all the anxiety that comes with the caffeine and jitters of thermogenics like OxyElite and Ripped Freak. I have also been using Sweet Sweat and I think it's working amazingly for me if you don't like taking pills and you have a trim a little around the edges. Hope this has been useful.
So Oxyelite has some caffeine kind of energy stuff? I have been dieting to get down for gracie worlds and am about to really turn it up with cardio and dial in my diet even more and want a jump start to getting down some.
Well most thermogenics have caffeine in them, I forget what makes OxyElite so strong. But to people like me it's a little toooo strong. I really recommend Sweet Sweat while in training it's not as messy as you think and it doesn't make your clothes smell like shit and it really makes you sweat and cut weight. Green tea Extract is a great natural way to slim down and small portioned meals throughout the day are clutch. I realize how much my body slimmed down when I was just eating 3-4 times a day at scheduled time and my body just shaved pounds. I drink like 1-2 gallons of water too. I did the Dolce Diet in Afghanistan the best I could with the food out there. I lost 11lbs in 4 weeks and felt pretty good.
OxyElite has 1,3-dimethyhlamylamine which is a VERY strong stimulant, with effects on the brain not terribly far from a light cocktail of ephedrine and methamphetamine, it is also the major ingredient in UPSLabs other hit product, Jack3d. Jack3d has made this stimulant very popular and a number of brand included it in their preworkout and stimulant mixes, but it was recentely slated for potential banning by the FDA, and 20 major manufacturers including UPSLabs were served warnings to prepare to stop selling it. While this substance does aid in burning fat, more than anything its just a stimulant and in my opinion should be avoided in a thermogenic formula unless your taking it with the intention of a speed based pre workout/thermogenic combination.
The other major ingredients, that trigger bodyheat and fat burning are Bacopa Monniere and Bauhinia purpea, both of which riase your bodys thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) thyroid hormone levels, which serve the function of regulating your bodies metablism, rate of protien synthasis, glycogen breakdown, triglyceride breakdown etc -- all things which *might* be desired for a fat burning orientated supplement, especially if working out hard with it.
It is worth noting 1,3-dimethylamylamine is banned by several athletic organizations, so do tread with consideration if you compete at a tested level.
