What Makes Me Want To Get Into that Ring And Go To War ???
3 days from now the waiting is over.
8 pounds left to cut......always the hardest.
I have never seen the kid I'm fighting, no picture, no video, no nothing. All I know is he's 2 1/2 years older then me and wants to fight.
My kicks have never felt so strong........I have never felt so strong. Everyone always told me one day a switch will turn on and I will feel more like a man then a kid. Is that what I'm feeling?
Why do I love this so much ? Is it the way my heart starts pounding when my walk out music starts to play? Deep down am I really not the laid back guy I think I am..... Am I really a bully. Do I have a deep need to be the center of attention, is that why I want everyone to watch me in that ring?
This kid is driving 12 hours from Cleveland Ohio to northern New York. I'm pretty sure he's not comming all that way to give me a hug and a kiss. I'm also pretty sure he's making that trip because he thinks he's going to smash my face in.
Does he really know what he's signed up for? Has he ever faced a kid with heart like me? Has he ever faced a kid that has the reach I have or the power I have? Does he have what it will take to break my will? I don't think any kid or man can break my will or steal my heart.
This is my ring, my town, my fans, my future, my dreams, what makes him think he has the right or the balls to come here and try to take that away from me?
Plus I have a secret weapon he doesn't have a clue about. I really do love this. I love every part of how it makes me feel. The harder you hit me the more you better be ready to give blood. I'm ready to bleed and give whatever it takes to have my hand raised in that ring?

Just some random thoughts as I lay in my room, after the last killer hard night of training, before my fight Saturday. Have my Ipod set on fight play list, visualizing how I see the fight going. It ends the same everytime. Shin kick to the head 2nd round.......Reff pulls me off and stops the fight.
