Great read thank you for sharing i know lots of wrestlers that have made the switch over and to them its just about being the "best" not about the learning's and sharing the knowledge and basically everything stated in the write up Thank you very much for the read :)
great read good pointers, to keep u sharp.
Awesome article! My wife likes to associate any aggressive action by my 5 year old boy as a reason he should not be exposed to jiujitsu. Sharing articles like these really helps me articulate my point on why I think it's not only OK but it is a positive thing to include him in this very important part of my life & why I like to bring him to the gym for open mat to play-grapple. He certainly doesn't see anyone getting angry & doesn't learn anything resembling a submission but I feel like he's gaining a love of the game just by grappling with Dad (his favorite game). He's also developing his base (which is AWESOME).
Quite an interesting read
- By emptying our mind, we create space for new information. The enemy of mastery is the mistaken notion that you already know it all. Bowing can remind us to remove any thoughts that might hinder our progress.
- Bowing is also a reminder to empty the cup of arrogance.
- When we “pour” our arrogance out, we make room for humility to fill the space.
