Is 'Twister' legal in ADCC?

I was just curious because I've never seen anyone pulling off 'Twister' in ADCC.

I believe so.

As far as I know it's only illegal under IBJJF rules ("spinal lock with a choke" is the only form of spinal lock allowed). I've thought about modifying my approach to the Defcon 4 Twister submission so my left arm comes around the head and under my opponent's chin, so my arms are in the formation of a rear naked choke while still cranking. I think it's possible.

They banned it because they thought Eddie was going to submit to many people with :)
