I know the Anderson v GSP has got to happen but what do you guys think about this match. I think Lyoto is just way too big for it to be fair.

Bit of a weight diffrence 15lbs right? but GSP is on a hell of a run, he hasnt lost since Matt Serra in like 2007 or 2008 and has since defeted him. Machida on the other has had a tough couple years. I think GSP could come up to 185 and beat him but who knows. GSP still has a couple fights I'd like to see at 170.
I think it'd be an interesting stylistic matchup. It would be boring as hell too. Both guys aren't the type to engage. But Lyoto is too big. I'd pick Lyoto though. He's a stylistic nightmare for wrestlers. And striking wise, Lyoto is just on another level.
Think what GSP did to Josh Koshchecks eye but everywhere on GSP. Lyoto striking would be to much and the size advantage would be a factor, GSP only walks around at about 190-195 and Lyoto at about 220-225. Interesting if it were to happen, but I would have Lyoto on this one.
Lyoto actually walks around not much over 205 nowadays. If you remember last time he weighed in against Bader he weighed in at like 203 and apparently didn't cut hardly at all. GSP walks around at like 190
either way, the fight isn't that interesting to me. However i would love to see Machida @ 185. I believe that is the division he should probably be in anyway. Just my opinion. :-)
from what i've heard on the net is that GSP isn't going to 185 for anyone other than Anderson. Apparently the Lyoto talk is all just rumours
I think GSP will take out Anderson ... I rarely bet on fights I only put big money down once.. And that was not too long ago when Nate Diaz was an underdog vs Jim Miller... I saw no way Miller could be a Nate Diaz in his prime with momentum. How odds makers had him an underdog was baffling to me bu I put 1200 on him and more than doubled that fortunately. I'd put an even bigger stack on GSP... I think he'd train like there was no tomorrow and this was his last fight on earth. He always steps up and dominates when the stakes are high and he's fighting he best. Look at BJ Penn when he was in his prime and Matt Hughes 2 and 3. Thiago Alves you could throw in there. Stylistically I think Anderson couldn't stop his take down and would sub him from bottom. Just IMO.
Wouldn't sub him from bottom
Why would Lyoto want to fight someone 2 weight classes below him? And if its at 185, its just like with the A Silva super fight, GSP will want to leave 170 so he could put on some muscle. This match up does nothing for me
