Well i was using lockdown and getting shutdown when i attempted a sweep by trying to grab under the far ankle as i was stuck thier i took both of my hand and pulled his ankle towards me becasue he was shutting down the normal sweep.. Now he ws off bounce as his ankle was under him and almost in front of him and i came up in his half guard... The only thing is you have to watch out for the darce ,but when you are pulling hard on his foot towards you he cant hold on to the darce if he gets it..

Once I passed out after drinking two beers. They were lemonade flavored beers at that. However I had took two Tylenol PMz with it. So don't judge me.
yeah releasing the underhook and uing both hands to pull the ankle towards you. The darce is thier for them to take ,but thier ankle is is up under them as ad alomost infront of them as you pull so thier darce has little affect.. Not old school sweep but your in the same postion but you use both hands to pull thier ankle toward youthis will make it easy for you to come up and go into thier half guard.. I did it bc i was i guess trying the old school sweep and he shut it down so i realsed my underhook from him and used both hands to pull his ankle..
Your likely having your Old School shut down because you should be grabbing the outer edges of their foot not the ankle, it makes a HUGE difference.
You're probably better off going with the Middle School sweep if he shuts you down rather than releasing the underhook. You're giving him an opportunity to take your back by grabbing the foot with both hands from underneath, assuming I'm picturing what you're talking about correctly. If you're going to release that underhook at least get the Electric Clinch. Plus, keep in mind that if the D'arce is there so is the Japanese Necktie. Keep that underhook and hide your head. Don't forget about the Boa too.Quote:
