I changed my belt to reflect my rank in 10th planet juijitsu, as I feel that my purple belt from jjj is not appropriate and that my purple in bjj was given to me based, I think, more on trying to expand affilliation, rather than work put in. At this time, I'm going to concentrate on working my 10th planet techniques and learn as much as I can in a hope to be the best I can be.

I actually asked about this, and did it as well. Its not about being "belted" its about learning, growing. evolving.

I dont think Renato Verrissimo is in the buisness of giving out purple belts to expand affiliation and a Renato Verrissimo purple belt = a 10th planet purple belt according to what Eddie says. Renato Verrissimo is a pretty respectable guy in Bjj and MMA. I just think thats kind of shiting on his reputation to say he gave you your belt to expand affiliation.
