New Sub-Only Competiion Atlanta

Hey everyone, I'd like for you all to check out this brand-new submission grappling contest; The Kakuto Submission Challenge. Our first event is scheduled for the Atlanta Area March 23 & 24. We think that the 10thPJJ folks will love our rules and format.

This is a two-day event. Also, 30 people who pre-register will be selected by raffle for FREE admission to the Rener Gracie Seminar on March 24th at the event. Also, ALL SPECTATORS and COMPETITORS are invited out on the second day to join us for Open Mat! I guarantee you'll love this event, love the rules, love the format, and I hope to see many of you there representing 10th Planet.

(although I'm not a fan of overtime rounds. Wrestlers will stall until the overtime round)

Eddie, I'm not big on it either, but we WILL NOT tolerate stalling. We feel that the "hybrid" format will attract more competitors. The "By Invitation only" pro division will NOT have OT or points at all and rounds will be 10 minutes (final match will be unlimited time for first/second place).

oh, and one more thing about the 2-min OT round points....you get points for the Truck just like you would for mount or side control. Reaping the knee? no problem! ankles and knee? allowed! Lockdown? Sure thing! We're are giving the rules back to the players! we think this will be one of the most fun tournaments out there. It's going to be an event, not just a tournament. We're putting on a show! :)

I hope to see everyone there....and for the record...I tried to get Eddie to come out to do the seminar, but his travel dates conflicted. We really hope we can get him out for the second event!

I'm stoked if you all are stoked! Our goal is to have a great show with a great format! We want this to be a weekend you won't soon forget as opposed to just another tournament. Having lots of you all show up will make it all the better!

15 minute rounds with no overtime rounds is best, trust me, Gracie Nationals/Gracie Worlds got it down right :)

Do you think it's best to offer that in the pro division or in every division?
