granby?.. hell yeah.. I mix it in whenever I get a chance and its worked for me.. although if you're not careful it puts you in a risky position.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsYbWmljqzo this is a highlight video that proves to be entertaining.
spladles are awesome as well... its really embarrassing for the person caught in it because you have to really mess up for it to be accomplished(person has to be fairly inexperienced).. but I haven't done one rolling in jujitsu.. not exactly sure what to do with the person after you're got them in it.. there isn't really a way to submit them or at least I don't think so.
Looks like an interesting technique, I'll have to try it out sometime. It would go great with a follow up Bas Rutten Neck Crank I do.
wow, that second video was the most granbys ever witnessed, and i only watched the first quarter of it.
There is also a 50/50 entrance from a granby that Eisner actually showed it in one of the MTS vids.
Good old granby roll!!
The one from the vid and the one from MTS were different tho weren't they? In MTS it was a leg lock entry against a standing opponent, the vid here was like some Owen Hart shit [and I mean that in a good way] and fuck yeah I'd go straight for that Bas Rutten shit. We should call iot the Dutch Master because Bas is Dutch and you roll 'em, up tight like blunt haha
It looks like you could time it right and land right into the Bas Rutten Neck crank.
I do this from turtle when the guy is in side ride and grabs around my back too far with his arm. It's a little different, but you just hook his arm above the elbow with the crook of your arm, lay your far leg out flat and roll.
