Local Ronin making his MMA debut in Rochester

One of the Ronin from our group will be making his amateur MMA debut at the Gladius MMA event March 30th in Rochester, NY.

Thankfully, he is not facing one of Zog's guys.:o

James is one of the guys who defected away from the garage MMA group I had been going to to roll (can't call it training, 'cause there were no drills: just fight night, every night). James has some flexibility issues, but is working hard to overcome them, and is huge into the System.

He has competed twice before at Fortune Fight League with his old team "American Hybrid" (the garage MMA guys) and went 0-2 as a heavyweight. He has cut down from 245lbs to 216lbs today (competing as a light heavy), so he should be cruising into an easy final cut.

Hoping for the epic sub, but I'm just proud of the effort he has put in.

My partner wall was supposed to be fighting for the 155lb title, however he came down with the flu and after his chest xray on friday found out he has pneumonia, so we had to pull him. However Anthony Alves will be making his MMA debut that night a well, see ya there!
