Internet doctors?

All you internet doctors I need a diagnosis :P: Debilitating pain in my knee behind the patellar tendon closer to the tibia. Came out of nowhere last night when I got up out of my chair.. thought it would be gone by morning. Its a constants throbbing, then when I walk Its a very sharp pain... makes me avoid walking lol...

I have a lot of knee problems/pains(years of abuse) but I've never felt anything in this region which makes me wonder what it is.. I still have "proper" support so nothing is missing at least to the best of my knowledge.

I'm just curious if anyone has felt anything similar.. I know its impossible to say what it could be exactly and I don't plan on going to a doctor so I'm just curious to what it may be. I'm sure their are tons of options..

dude, i think its definately worth going to a doctor. Anything with debilitating in it needs to be checked out.

So I asked my Dad, who is a doctor, and he said it could be bursitis. There is a little capsule of fluild which cushions your knee behind the patella tendon. It could be this got inflamed. house maids use to get it back in the old days as they were always scrubbing on their knees. He said rest is the key.

or bad tendinitus.

Thats one option anyway.

Thanks for the reply :-D.. I don't like going to the doctor more then I need too though. I'm not dying and nothings twisted and torn left and right so unless this persists for a couple weeks i'll just go with it. There is no recognizable inflammation so I don't think its a bursitis.. I was thinking maybe some tendinitis but it just came out of nowhere and their were no signs of it before(also this would have to be some impressively intense tendinitis.. and I think I would have been able to ease it a bit by now if it was).

Like I said i'm pretty positive nothings torn so rest is gonna be the best option.. I was just curious what kind of things it can be.

I'll get him to read the post and see what he thinks. I might have missed something that could have been useful to him.

yeh i take back what i said about going to the doctor, there's probably not much he can do about it anyway.
