The Southeast SUB ONLY: Kakuto Challenge went great

Hey, I just wanted to let everyone know that our first tournament went great! Brandon McCaghren for 10PJJ Decatur, AL represented in the Pro-Invitational. His fights were super fun to watch. He was an absolute gentlemen! Furthermore, Brandon was brought in as an alternate in case we had someone fall out...sure enough someone no-showed and Brandon was there to step in!

Sam Davis from Decatur also represented in the Amateur format! This kid blew us away with fight of the night against Striker MMA's Anthony Davis in the Absolute Division. Sam lost, but it was more to exhaustion than anything as Sam's opponent had easily 60 lbs advantage. Those two poured their hearts out for the bronze. It was the last fight on Saturday and it was awesome. 10th Planet really showed up and put on a great representation of skill and sportsmanship and we can wait to have them back!

We will be back to do it again Sept 28th and 29th, so make sure you guys come check out this two-day event! It was so much fun and everyone was so cool at this tournament. The positive feedback we've gotten has been truly awesome and we're going to do even better next time now that we have one under our belt (so to speak)!

It was awesome to be there. I'm really excited about coming to the next one. As y'all get more experience and start working the kinks out of the open tournament it's gonna morph into the best tournament around. The rule set and format is fantastic.

The pro division format was great. My only suggestion is no 1 minute breaks in the final. Other than that, do it exactly the same.

Thanks for the feedback. We think that we can also work a lot of the kinks out with more people...less bracketing issues.
