im trying to improve my game with just the foot and making things happen with it. so i shoot for quarter guard they frame i under hook there leg with my right arm and control the knee with my left. how ever sometimes depending on the angle im unable to transition to mini stomp to force the lock down. any other options apart from deep half?
You can transition to the dog fight pretty easy from there
is that assuming they try and slice there knee threw to pass? because surley it will be hard to get to the dog fight if the knee is still up?
Are you making sure their knee is not on the mat? Their knee has to be in the middle of your stomach.
And thank you for reminding me about deep half. I can't believe I forgot about that.
From the Quarter Guard, I like to go for Old School, reach around the back, grab the foot with my other hand, and then come up to the Dog Fight and take the Half & Half
The mini stomp can be done if thier knee is in your center line or if its on the mat. If the knee is on the mat go to your back and drag the knee to your center line then mini stomp. Like JC said deep half and dog fight are there as well.
