Your body will tell you when you need a couple days off. It's different for those who compete. You don't have the luxury of taking too much time off. But yeah, just keep going until you die. What else are you gonna do?
Take a break and do some stretching. You need lots of fiber in your system drink at least 2 glasses of Metamucil each day and take fish oil too. Running on the track and sprints on the turf will give you cardio do that a couple times a week or more and you should be able to hang.( jog 2 miles and 10x120 sprints goal post to goal post) You can't expect to have the vigor of a younger person who is in shape too but you can still keep up a good pace. Work you abs and core a lot also. ( bear crawl from goal post to goal post twice after you are done running) maybe start out half of that and build your way up too it. Then just go to class and train and have fun!
I don't often take breaks from Jiu Jitsu, but when I do I take a week or two at a time.
