To Eddie and my 10p fam
Hey guys, so unfortunately I am shutting my hotbox. I just haven't got the time as I have been really busy with other stuff I haven't been able to train as much. I have a bunch of regulars that have the training bug now, and are going to go over to train at my regular places so not all is lost. However while I can't be fully committed to it I feel its not fair on anybody. ESPECIALLY the system and its progression. The last thing I would ever want to do is slow the progress of the UK takeover. If say another 10p head in my area wants to open his own hotbox or moon but can't because mine is there. I would hate that.
I will still be training JJ couple times per week 'if possible' but nowhere near enough to run an academy. So I am still down with 10p 100% for life, will rep 10p, that will never change, and Eddie you have done more for me than you probably realise, I am a better man for knowing you and the 10th planet family.
So this isn't some wet goodbye post haha, just more of a heads up. Love to all :) 10P4L!!!!

I'll be the first to say that running a Hb is not easy and takes a lot of time, work & money. I'm sure there are a lot of people that think it's no big deal and an easy thing do but that couldn't be further from the truth. I commend you Sam for halting the Hb for the good of the system. Keep training when ya can and it'll come back around. This is but a mere chapter in the lifelong journey of jiu jitsu.

Sometimes life just gets in the way of things. This might indeed just be a phase in your life. Sure you'll have more time for jj again in the future.
One thing i would recommend when you're having some time out from jj, is to stay in that mindset by watching videos and researching stuff.
Good luck.

You can always jump back in it when time is in your favor brotha!

yes I am pretty swamped until well into 2014, going to be travelling a lot too. Hopefully things settle sometime early/mid next year and if nobody has picked it up I will start again.
Thanks guys :)

Good luck Sam. I had to close down 10th Planet St. Louis earlier this year so I know all to well how you feel. Best of luck and 10p4l :)

Much respect to you Sam. That can't have been easy!
-
Sorry to hear that Sam! Hope all works out and you can be able to re open. Stay positive and hopefully you can get back to the grind!

Totally understand Sam, you have to dedicate ALOT of time to your academy to make it successful, so if you have a family and a day job it can become a struggle. Focus on what you need to do, we will always be here for you Sam :)

Good luck to you, Sam. Just because you don't have an official school anymore doesn't mean you don't belong to the family :)
