Does anyone know an escape from the arm triangle choke? Once I'm caught up in it I can't seem to get out.

If can turn into it, I like to use an Alcatraz like hook on the near leg to lockdown, and whip to freedom.
From what position are you getting caught in?
This defense/ escapes has saved my daughters butt many times over... hope this help.

I can't tell you how to get out. The best is to not get in it. If you get in the chopping block from mount with your hand stuck, a lot of times you can buck your hips and quickly drive your hand to the other side of their head. The next thing is to try to get your hands back into t-Rex position and get on a hip to get out of mount. I've had success with this..some anyways.
Low tech solution that works :
Make a fist with the trapped arm.
Push that fist with the free hand so that the elbow of the trapped arm drives into the neck of the attacker.
This pushes their head away and makes a space.
Use that space to escape.
There's a reason the chopping block is a dead zone...
Caught in a triangle? You fucked up a long time ago!-Kurt Osiander
Was just about to type this out! This is really the best one. The one above about angling the elbow is a good one, too. A 3rd option is if you get caught but they don't have it cinched in you can do the "Answering the Phone" defense, where you basically grab your ear with the arm that's trapped. That locks the arm so the shoulder can't be used 100% against you past a certain range of motion. Good luck and experiment with all.
