Battle 4 the Ages

It just got serious people. Battle 4 the ages just brought kids from across the country to compete in this Kumite / metamoris style event. One mat, 6 minutes of submission only. Cora is in the 11 yr old bracket, she is the only girl, the youngest, and the smallest one. Its going to be one tough bracket. Look out for some 10thplanet specific techniques. These are top level kids, the best in every age group. Only one belt will be award, there is not 2nd, or 3rd place prize. The belt has to be defended at the next tournament. Thank you guys. Cora's training just got started. Basically I'm training her at home and whatever she get out of the gym will be a bonus. I'm also recruiting other tough kids to come and be Cora's training partner. By Jan she should be a totally different fighter.

I've also spoke to the promoter and he told me that since everyone around the country is interested in this tournament, the next one will be in spring and it will be NO GI. He's doing a tournament every quarter and thus will alternate between Gi and No Gi. So all you 10thplanet heads who have kids 8-17 yrs old be ready. Like I mention before, this is a nation wide tournament with true championship belt that the winner has to defend. Its INVITE ONLY tournament so get your kids' resume ready. To be honest I'm more excited about the No Gi tournament than the Gi.
