I saw this at the MET in NYC on my last visit there, it's the trophy you won in an ancient MMA competition called the Pankration (wrestling, kicking and boxing no holds barred).
Trophies for winning a grappling match were a lot cooler back then.

Very cool stuff. Yeah trophys 100's of years ago meant something, had value, meaning. Nowadays it's a piece of plastic, spray-painted gold, on top of some cheap wood with a date and event etched into it. Lots in ancient times women and feasts were trophys also! Ah the good ol' days...
