So what I want to know is if anyone trains in other forms of grappling to supplement or compliment their Jiujitsu training?
Do you think this helps or has it hindered your learning goals in your experience?

I think alot of people do, especially because 10th planet is such an open minded system. I know theres a bunch of various sambo, wrestling, catch wrestling, judo, gi jiujitsu, etc practitioners in the fam... In general unless your learning junk any kind of cross training is going to improve your game ;]
One of my coaches used to say "Grappling is Grappling. All we need know is the rules and what we are wearing".
I work at a high school, yesterday I was working in the wrestling room while they were practicing. The takedowns they were working on would help me, but a lot of their escapes would not. They were bridging and turning away, giving up the back. I kept wanting to jump in and put the hooks in.
