question about omoplatas
ive been watching through MG's series 4 dvd especially on omoplatas and one thing i do differently that i was wondering if others do is if the guy is flexible or for some reason, maybe strength, i cant get the omoplata by pushing his shoulder in the one direction (behind his back etc) i start moving around his head so it gets a different angle.
just so you can picture it better ive got the MG grip around the opposite shoulder with my hands and while pulling them towards me, i start moving my hips anti clockwise in a semi circle around his head.
if it doesnt make sense ill try explain better.
im just wondering, does anyone play this? reasons why not if you dont? i find that it helps stop the forward roll and cranks the shoulder in two different ways which makes it a lot tighter.
i love my omoplatas and i would love any insight people can give to make them even better. i just realised how little i really know about them in particular and jiu jitsu in general after watching marcelo.
