If you want to recreate an old thread, you can search google to see if it is in their cache.
Search something like "10thplanet hotbox" and you will see an old thread as #1.
Next to the URL google lists, there is a green arrow pointing down. Click that arrow and click "cache" to view Google's version of it.
It isn't perfect, but you might be able to recover many posts.
But do this soon - Google will stop caching them soon.
