John Kanei

Hello, odd question, I am looking for information about John Kanei, he was brought up in a thread on another forum as having some questionable claims... I did a google search and saw a link to this thread:

Was just wondering if anyone knew anything about him? From the 1 page of that thread that I can read on google cache it looks like he was trying to open a 10p affiliate in Japan? Anyone know what happened on that front?

I can tell you about that. I was training at his shit dojo about 2 years ago. He found out that I was going to LA to train with the 10P teams. He asked me to get him the info for getting a 10P affiliate. Eddie sent that to me and I sent it to him. After coming back from LA I never had contact with that guy again. I started training at a different place. I want to add that I only trained at his dojo for 4 months before moving on to a better place. The reason was because it was only 5 minutes walk from my apartment.

I just read that he was exposed as a fraud. I am happy that I got away when I did. Looking back now, there were several signs that this guy was a fake. I am happy that nothing came of his attempt to get a 10P started here.

Btw Jeremy, my Japan trip has been postponed some months. Saving up money is harder than I thought, lol! But when I get there you must show me directions to your gym! :) So far on my list I have; Rolling, fugu, Shinkanzen, Paraestra, cat cafe's, otters, tame deer, and smoking monkeys in Onzen's! :D (I like animals, what?)
