Any jiu jitsu is better than no jiu jitsu.
True. I just really want straight 10P instruction.
Drill outside of the gym. I would still suggest training somewhere that you know quality people will be showing up regularly.
For sure. Once the hotbox can start meeting again we'll be getting in some quality instruction from the Woolsey's. I'm at a good gym with a lot of advanced guys, whom I learn lot's of great things from, especially from being crushed all the time. Problem is that the new head instructor that just took over "kindly" gave our 10PHB the boot—this was the main reason I joined there, the 10P peeps that trained there. Everything there is good: training partners, mat time, 3 gi and 3 no gi classes a week, low rates, and decent instruction (although the better instructor, who just relinquished his head position due to a new job, only teaches one class a week). The bad? I feel as though 10P is not welcome there now and I would prefer to be at a place where 10P isn't shunned. My gym would be great otherwise.
Get some cheap mats and the hotbox can meet again whenever you want.
Brandon and Tyler already have some. Just need a place to meet
Ours was a college park, tennis courts, gazebos, garages, spare rooms. If you have mats and a willing partner, you're good.
