10th planet history?

I was just wondering if anyone knew how this system came about.. like specifics.. When did eddie get to practice these moves in the beginning? Did he just have a couple jiujitsu buddies over at his house and decide to get high and invent moves for days on end? I was just curious on the specifics of the origins of 10th planet. and not like "eddie saw that the gi was hurting jiujitsu in MMA so he took it off and the rest is history".. I want to know what happened once the Gi came off. who was helping him train this system, things like that. what was it like in the VERY beginning stages of development.

this is a great question, i think IMO its because of his size and body type, he just started trying stuff, but i could be 100% wrong

When did he first use the rubber guard ? What was the first move off of it ?

I think it was a Gi move actually that spawned mission control where Eddie would put his heel in the back of the collar on his opponents gi, behind his [the opponents] neck and use that to control the guy. I think theres a You tube vid where he's doing the move. A lot of it is covered in the beginning of the books if I remember correctly. About when he opened the Bomb Shelter, his first school he opened, a lot of it started there or evolved there.

I have a question about that book, why, on earth, did you guys have so many pictures in black and white with both guys wearing white gi pants. I damn near tied myself in a knot trying to follow those pics.

I'm looking through the books and I think it only covers no gi, twister, and how to use the rubber guard. Not where it came from and the beginning attacks/first submissions from it.

I know theres a pic of you in a gi match and the caption says that it was where you got the inspiration for rubberguard, right.
