If he abandoned the cross-face and went across the shoulder, that would allow Eddie to scoop up the Electric Chair right away. Am I missing something?
I remember Rener put out one last year that was pretty bad, they must not have shown it to Royce, cause he didn't even try it!!LOL.
Maybe, maybe not. I don't have the technical qualifications to comment on the technique I'm just putting it out there so we have a better idea of what others may try to do. but it is interesting what people will be coming out with in thewake of Metamoris III
I remember watching the Lockdown on the rubber guard DVD, back in 2010 and saying, "Why doesn't the guy just point his toes up?" In attempts to beat the LD, but after rolling with a buddy that had a good Lockdown, I had no time to move or point anything, never mind space to do so, I was already getting subbed. These defensive moves work with guys that aren't moving and have crappy LD.

this guy's got it.
In fairness, isn't this how a lot of counters work? They look easy when being demonstrated against someone who isn't resisting, but if someone smells out what they are doing they can disrupt you.
I like it when Eddie calls that out. "There's going to be a battle here. He's trying to do this, you're trying to do this. This isn't going to be easy." Helpful for a noob. :)
Mr. Lovato actually demonstrated a great variation of the Twister Pass. I'm going to try and implement some of his details in order to Samurai more often. Thanks for the video!
