difficulty with deep half entry from quarter guard

Whenever I transition from quarter guard to deep half, it's rarely smooth. I have trouble rolling all the to the other hip without getting stuck somewhere in the movement. My main entry into deep half is from bottom 3/4 mount and I don't have this issue there. I'd be grateful for any tips on this move. :)

Hit him in the butt with your knees during your swing through. Bump him forward and change his weight distribution.

So as you swing through you're bumping him forward by drawing your knees in? Do you bump him forward with your underhook too?

As he gets over aggressive in his hunt for the underhook and commits his weight too far forward bump him in the butt with your knee. It's the same trick used during the quarter guard warm ups to secure double underhooks, only you swing to deep half instead of perfect double unders.

Yup, bump then swing. The only weight on you should be his leg.
