Is it just me, or does rubber guard look really odd in the gi? It's like watching someone in judo shoot a low-level single.

That escape looks legit. With good awareness it seems like you should be able to counter his counter by going to jiu claw if you are ahead of him in the transition. I haven't had a chance to try it out in the gym yet though.
I think Tonon has one of the most interesting games out but he has like no instructionals. I'd love some online videos or dvds from the guy. He's really been killing it the leglock game recently too and he has some wild setups.
I'd also like to see some defense/escape stuff. it seems like he can't be darced or guillotined. On some podcast he said Chris Weidman has darced him like 400 times and that helped his defense. Keenan Cornelius, Bill Cooper, Sean Roberts, Boogeyman Martinez, James Puopolo, even Buchecha have all teried and not been able to darce or guillotine him.
I'd like to see it against a good RG player. I like the idea. Seems risky though. Looks like you could get caught on the bottom or get carni'd
Tonon loves prison guard and the truck and is very aware of the rubber guard. Looks like a legit escape, love that dude :-)
