We are proud to present "Beyond the Mat", an audio documentary over a year in the making that focuses on the aspects of Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) that carry off the tatami. In this work, Suresh Eswarathasan interviews an eclectic array of practitioners, namely Ryan Hall of 50/50 BJJ, Valerie Worthington of Breaking Muscle magazine, Paul Moran of the Open Mat Radio podcast, Mark Colangelo of Gracie Barra Montreal and Manulife Securities, Bruno Fernandes of Gracie Barra Montreal, and Hywel Teague of the Brazilian jiu-jitsu video production company BJJ Hacks.

Each interviewee shares his/her own unique experiences relating to the psychological and philosophical lessons from BJJ. The purpose of this work is to elucidate the tremendous benefits of our beloved martial art that are beyond the obvious ones of physical health.

I think this is a great way to introduce jiu jitsu culture to people that might not understand it. It hits so many angles in one doc. We've been getting a good response so far. Thanks to everyone that spreads the word!
