Carlos carvalho runs the north american adcc. He was living in Virginia beach and Ohio hense the location . I think sponsors and convenience have a lot to do with it. He has been trying to grow the adcc tournament scene in the usa. Not trials but a regular traveling tourney like naga. As this grows so will trial events.
He's definately not perfect but we love him anyhow. He been my instructor for over 10 years:))))))
Okay...this is all making sense now. I guess Charleston, WV is fairly close to Ohio. But it is almost 7 hours from Virginia Beach.
Somebody has got to talk him into getting a little closer to the actual East Coast.
If there's money for them to rent a venue in SoCal every year, there's got to be money for them to rent a venue in Northern Virginia or somewhere else a little closer to the major East Coast population centers.
He has terrible geography concepts. I told him wv was out there but it was too late. Dc or va beach would have been perfect. I'm voting for Denver. Its the perfect location for everyone. Especially me but I'm selfish.
