nice. i liked his details about monitoring the hip and the twisting of the arm.
feels almost like a bjj and catch wrestling fusion when you grab the arm like that and use it to set up the various subs.
im not convinced
One of my favorite positions to play. :-) like the little detail about grabbing by the pinky line. I think I could apply that to setting up the Americana from mount too, just reverse. Same principal of control.
Super solid passing
i think the pushing down of the inside knee is super crucial to keeping the guy on the bottom from getting any kind of RDLR hook.
so simple but even i overlook it a ton. that said, you can't ignore the other leg from posting on your shoulder. lots of details, lots of time to perfect this pass.
The wrist twisting to the darce/kimura options is super interesting as is the pinky line thing. I'm going to have to try both in rolling to see how they actually play out live.
Very nice. I like that.
great! I'm glad u guys liked it! He was supposed to come this sunday but came last sunday by mistake lol. Looks like its the 8th of February now. 2 bad cuz one of our white belts is kicking blue belt ass as a lightweight and now he can't go and he's moving to B.C in like 3 months. I hope he competes at Grappling Industry, it would be really interesting to c how he would do.
Mendes has been releasing videos from this position lately - switch guillotine, rolling anaconda, rolling kimura.
It is a fantastic position to get a finish from.
