Name of this Submission? Video link

Is this considered a regular calf slicer or some sort of vaporizer from within lockdown? Please help. I get this submission quite frequently in tournaments and I recently got a few private messages asking me to post a video displaying the technique so it would be easier to see so here it is. While in half guard I get my lockdown and usually go for an old school sweep, electric chair or an electric chair sweep but if they do not give me that leg I always go for the calf crusher/slicer/modified vaporizer or whatever this move is. I don't know if this move has a name but I think non the less it is sweet and I catch it all the time. One day it just stared me in the face and since then I put it in my toolbox. Not a vaporizer. Definitely a slicer. I would say that it comes from your opponent being pretty oblivious. Do you have vids of the comp?

I found a way to do this with no hands in a variation of the godfather sweep when I first started drilling lockdown. Thought it was going to revolutionize my half guard. Couldn't catch it on better players though. But if you're catching it keep using it. And get those comp wins on vid.

Thanks Bobby, Yeah I figured it was a slicer but people were calling it all sorts of stuff…lol but yeah I catch it a lot.

A nice one indeed... another way I have been catching that one is instead of while whipping them up... first whip up to the shoulder and then reach though under there hips for the same slicer instead of Old School or Electric Chair

All I know is I asked you yesterday to post a break down and you delivered. Today while rolling I hit it 3 times, I freaking love this. I have started baiting the old school sweep, they post the leg out, but as they post the leg out I'm already reaching for the other foot and it was over. Are you using your inside leg to bring their foot to your hands? Similar to how you get the calf crank from the truck?

You can do that or bring your knees toward your chest with the lock down still in place and reach for it. Sometimes if your in real deep you can just reach it. However you can get it pretty much but it's just another weapon in the arsenal. Glad I could help!
