Ear Protection
Okay, so after 2 and a half years of Jiu Jitsu thinking my ears were immune, I've finally got my first Cauliflower Ear. Its bad, and I'm gonna need to get an ear guard. I'm from the UK, so can anybody help me put on what one to get and/or good places to get it from? I found a "nice" adidas one for £35, and Cliff Keen is also meant to be good right? I cant find any UK online shops with the CK in

Drain that puppy! Or see a doc if you can/need. The ck are the most popular. But I don't wear them, so I can't tell you what's best.
-
Can't get it drained yet, so I'm icing it right now, any other tips?
-
No, just drain as soon as you can tolerate it. Once it turns hard your stuck with it...
-
Uh oh, sweet man thanks :)

Go get a syringe and drain it yourself. Youtube it to get a game plan, but you'll probably have to do it several times and getting to a doc everytime isn't realistic. It's really not complicated or dangerous if you keep things sterile and swab. Insulin syringes are to small so get a bigger gage for blood clots. The worst part of the process is buyin the damn syringes and people thinkin your either a junkie or roidin.
Was it from Nathan darcin' you for 2 minutes?

"Was it from Nathan darcin' you for 2 minutes?"
ha I bet that contributed

Just leave it alone. Chicks dig cauliflower ear. ;)

You know, it probably was from Nathan's chokes! It started on the last couple of days of 10th Planet and has got worse, it needs draining badly then :(
And Jon, thanks, but I highly doubt that, but I heard in Japan and Iran you get respect for it for being a fighter

I use this headgear when my ears are bothering me. I haven't ever had a complaint from a rolling partner, easy to clean/adjust, all rubber, protects the ears. 31.00 USD
edit: I heard very negative things about the Adidas ones and bjj when I was doing research on what brand to go with.
